Equalizer UPGRADED with new voltage regulators, and upgraded the caps to Elna Silmic IIs. To Learn: If you ever listen to a Bose 901 without the equalizer you will immediately understand what the Bose 901 equalizer does! They sound awful because they produce mostly midrange frequencies with little of the highs and barely any bass. What else would you expect from any 4´´ speaker, no matter how many you have? The equalizer is necessary to balance the sound, effectively correcting the speakers frequency response. The speakers design uses reflected sound to mask it's coloration and distortion and the equalizer is used to make the bass, midrange and treble sound balanced. The speakers are very location and position sensitive within a room, so the newer equalizers supposedly help with some setting adjustment ability.

Great EQ, only problem is that it's been sitting around too long. Purchased it for a backup. However my back is out, so I stopped a long time ago. Also the perfect eq for a musicians home stereo. Lost boxes and manuals a long time ago, sure the manual can be downloaded or ordered from the company....
