Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient care - Perform medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, procedures and maintaining patient records - Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse - Perform basic coding and billing tasks - Completing Insurance Prior Authorizations for Medications and Procedures - Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatments, procedures and medications Requirements - Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent experience - Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy - Proficiency in medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining records - Ability to accurately take and record vital signs - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Note:
