This position reports directly to the General Manager of QA, EHS, & Organizational Development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plan and coordinate activities aimed at improving the Safety environment and awareness throughout the plant.
Analyze safety data (Lost Time Accidents, Recordables, and incident reports) to provide monthly updates to TTMA management and drive improvements.
Oversee compliance for the Environmental Management System (EMS) for ISO 14001.
Provide support to manufacturing by maintaining a visible presence on the production floor.
Assist in coaching, mentoring and implementation of EHS programs for the plant.
Working knowledge of environmental laws and/or regulations.
Coordinate EHS training sessions.
Coordinate all Emergency Preparedness and Response activities and training.
Monitor and regularly review federal, state and local legislation to ensure compliance.
Perform routine EHS audits and facilitate countermeasures for any findings with the related departments.
Investigate safety concerns and incidents to determine root cause(s) and facilitate countermeasures through coordination with related departments.
Establish and maintain plant safety/environmental policies and procedures, in compliance with State, Federal, and local regulations.
Provide training to all members of the organization on new and existing policies and procedures.
Act as the safety/environmental contact for the organization with State, Federal and local government agencies.
Manage all waste streams at TTMA and coordinate waste disposal for the facility.
Conduct industrial hygiene sampling to identify and correct potential health hazards.
Manage worker's compensation, including coordinating treatment and return to work for injured Team Members.
Participate with TTNA EHS working group activities to support the standardization process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or five (5)
years of applicable experience in Industrial Safety, Environmental or ISO 14001, and high school diploma or G.
E.
D.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
The ability to demonstrate the application of risk assessment to company operations to Upper Management.
Skills/Knowledge:
