5 Paid Holidays 2 Weeks Institutional Closing Pay (Last 2 weeks of December) for qualifying positions Employee Assistance Program Job Summary The Director of Adult Education provides overall leadership, management, and supervision of all personnel, programming, operations, and curriculum planning for adult education programming across OCTC adult education sites and services.
Primary services include GED-preparation, English as a Second Language, workforce preparation, and college/career transitions.
In addition, the director establishes and develops external partnerships for increased adult education programming in collaboration within businesses and organizations.
Job Duties:
Provide administrative leadership for the college's multi-county adult education programming, including:
personnel management, budget/grant management and reporting, program delivery, and related program resources in order to meet funder-driven program goals.
Ensure adherence to all KCTCS and funding agencies' operational and administrative requirements including accurate and timely budgetary reporting and data management.
Provide direction and oversight for student recruitment and retention activities across all programming.
Develop partnerships and programs to meet student needs--including researching and securing additional external funding to ensure program growth and sustainability, serving as the program liaison to promote the college's adult education services to the community at large, and collaborating with other agencies and service organizations for recruitment purposes and to leverage resources.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Education, Administration, Counseling, Student Services, Academic Leadership, or related field is required.
Three (3) years of relevant work experience required.
Three (3) years of Project Management required.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Five (5) years of relevant work experience is preferred.
Experience working with under-skilled or at-risk youth or adult populations.
Experience working with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, cultures, or non-native English speakers preferred.
