We are searching for an Estimator/Project Manager to join our growing team in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Westerfield is an established industry leader in electrical and construction.
This position as Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for estimating and managing projects from the point of tender through the completion of multi-trade projects.
This position works closely with ownership, management, safety, purchasing and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and accurate bid is submitted.
This includes the thorough review of various streams of information including but not limited to, previous customer projects, similar projects from other customers in the market, labor costs and other costs specific to the project.
In this role, the Estimator / Project Manager will request clarification on the tender where necessary and will address changes in scope.
When managing projects this position maintains and builds stakeholder relationships, communicates results during project milestones, and proactively and professionally manages critical path, personnel, quality, and safety.
The Estimator / Project Manager manages the costs of the project in relation to the bid, resolves variances in a timely manner, ensures proper processing of change orders, and documents job costs and forecasting as the project progresses.

You will interface with clients and contractors during pre and post-tender applications to develop effective business relationships.
Manage and direct construction projects to ensure schedule of all the deliverables, and have comprehensive knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
Manage administrative and direct labor work while managing projects.
Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products and ensure timely completion of all estimates.
Understand scope of the work to bid, manage bid pricing from vendors, and prepare cost analysis at completion of project.
Ensure quality construction standards are followed.
Track inventory, prepare internal and external reports regarding job status, plans to prevent problems, and resolve issues that arise.
Supervise and provide performance feedback to construction workers and subcontractors and manage and mitigate risks.
To join our team, you need to be a Master Electrician or able to achieve that within 2 years of employment.
5-7 years' experience working multi-trade craft jobs and supervising others.
A strong knowledge of building products, construction details and regulations, and construction safety and quality requirements.
Intermediate knowledge of Excel and project management software.
Ability to formally present and effectively summarize material.
Salary offered will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
