QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR 3rd shift (11:
00pm-7:
30am) Entry Pay Rate:
$17.
00 ($18.
70 with shift premium) Shift Premium:
3rd shift is 10% of base wage This position ensures product conformity to established requirements by evaluating product to customer and or engineering drawings, specifications and quality plans.
Conducts receiving, in-process and final product inspections and documents results in various reports in the quality system network.
Must be able to clearly communicate problems and issues as detected to production supervisors, production leads and other quality staff.
Required Skills and
Experience:
A High School degree or GED required Knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment including, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, radius gages, and dial indictors.
Good manual dexterity and adept in use of precision measuring tools.
Ability to detect differences between colors, color shades, and brightness.
Experience in injection molding, manufacturing, or quality inspection preferred, but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools, specifically Word, Excel, Power Point.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Be able to work weekends as needed.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Performs in-process and final inspections of molded parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable engineering criteria, documents, drawings and workmanship standards.
Performs inspections using precision measurement equipment and devices.
Performs functional testing of assembled units as required.
Ensures proper operation of measurement equipment by following operating instructions.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures, and complying with all applicable regulations.
Candidates are responsible for taking an active role in plant-wide safety activities, have a solid work history, strong work ethic, and be accommodating to shift work.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred and the WorkKeys is also desired.
