T&D GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The intent of this description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees on this job.

Under the routine supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor supplies parts and materials to T&D and/or Production field work crews and outside contractors from warehouse inventory.
Orders parts, materials and supplies for various T&D and/or Production departments.
Responsible for receipts of warehouse inventory.
Requires some judgment in applying well-established procedures and methods, such as completing detailed forms and recording complex data or performing routine equipment maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepares parts and material packages for all department work crews and outside contractors as directed.
Orders both expendable and warehoused parts and issues parts to various departments.
Coordinates with Purchasing regarding problem parts orders, parts number changes or return parts shipment.
Unloads and inspects incoming shipments for damage and specified quantity and places material and parts in designated areas.
Provides counter service in warehouse for all plant departments issuing stock requisitions and orders as needed.
Maintains all necessary records and reports pertaining to the parts inventory transactions, order information, and reference information to computerized inventory system.
Assign new part numbers, cycle counting and recording, and receiving/issuing documents for transactions of parts, materials, and supplies as part of inventory management.
Maintains warehouse cleanliness and related areas.
Operates forklift and related materials handling equipment in the organization and transfer of warehouse parts, materials and supplies inventory.
Performs pickup and delivery function of parts and supplies for OMU.
Must be reasonably available for overtime and call-ins outside of regularly scheduled work hours.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines.
Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to prepare and interpret bar graphs.
CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
